'Constructible atmospheres' is like a very wide geometric variation, in which he recreates his creative element and with which he marks a very particular line that identifies him. A device that becomes essential in the process of his work.

The Gipuzkoan space has brought together a sculptural development that undoubtedly starts from nineteenth-century academicism, but unfolds well into the twentieth century. Undoubtedly, contemporary Basque sculpture has developed along very close paths, that of Oteiza and Chillida, from which the new generations that have succeeded them have imbibed. Among these names is that of Iñigo Arregi, who goes from the influence of the masters to reach his own sculptural concept. A decisive moment is undoubtedly his coincidence in the School of Aránzazu, with the work of the artists in the Basilica.

A path that is clearly seen in recent decades, a development that can be seen in his models, as the main element of a final result that takes shape before our eyes. Constructible Atmospheres is like a very wide geometric variation, in which he recreates his creative element and with which he marks a very particular line that identifies him. A device that becomes essential in the process of his work. It would be impossible to summarize his trajectory in so few lines. His results are evident in this exhibition, where with nuances, is marked the sequel of a before and after in a long journey in time.

A three-dimensional puzzle, constructible atmospheres, where the plane is joined in a natural way without obliged to investigate the volume. His work is meticulous, analyzed from the development of the experimental model, what we can call the real plan of the final work. It is a constant and conscientious search, which highlights the invariable search for shadows, which we can find between the gaps and spaces that each of his sculptures are projecting in themselves. We can intuit something similar in his patterned work, full of nuances, where the Collage gathers the necessary elements so that the relief, very marked and deep.

It is superimposed on the plane, differentiating with an unusual force, what we have already been able to appreciate in his sculpture. They are scenographic designs of a restlessness that has marked his entire creative path, marking guidelines that have allowed him to develop, without losing the essence, what his creative dimension intends. The different techniques, in which silkscreen printing is one more option, strongly nourishes the result of his latest works, marking a time and a space. A natural development that is undoubtedly linked to his vision and sculptural form at this time. All this, leads us without hesitation, to highlight the elements of a kitchen made with time, which transports us to take a look without rancor, on the contrary, to another creative period. Observe and appreciate by touching with your fingers his sculptures, they are the result of his thoughts. They are the result of constructible atmospheres.
