In 'El ramo, o lo que salió del baúl y ya no pudo volver a entrar' , the bouquet ceases to be a symbol of celebration and becomes an extension of the inner landscape. The figure holds that which has blossomed following a process of transformation: memories, losses, lessons learnt and new ways of embodying feminine identity. The gesture of holding the bouquet speaks of a maturity that does not consist in reaching a certainty, but in accepting that every transformation irreversibly reveals something.

In ‘Mi mente, una habitación’, the figure appears suspended between light and darkness, occupying a threshold that is both physical and emotional. The room ceases to be a mere place and becomes a space where memory and the desire to move forward coexist. The transformation is not a grand gesture, but a quiet persistence.

As a child, the afternoon nap was a time free from obligations, a space suspended between play and sleep. In these paintings, I try to recapture the emotion that remains: the calm, the warmth of the fabrics, the light filtering into the room, and the feeling of being completely safe.
