Ramon Surinyac is an artist who plays with the subjectivity of painting, in contrast to the material objectivity of photography. In his oil paintings, Ramon Surinyac creates landscapes using expressive brushstrokes that blur or distort the natural space as the viewer moves closer to or farther from the painting.
His paintings seek to interact with the viewer, allowing the viewer’s perspective to give meaning to the work; as one approaches, the landscape transforms into a collection of abstract forms.
