The work of Gerard Castellví (Montblanc, 1986) stems from years of contemplative observation and a constant quest to discover paintings in everything around him. His work connects the inner with the outer, using landscape, the figure and colour as territories for emotional exploration, in a continuous balance between the observed and the intuited.

His creative process navigates between intuition and conscious exploration, remaining true to a quest for formal synthesis that evolves towards progressive abstraction without losing the figurative link. Through simplification, Castellví seeks to distil the essential and create a pictorial experience capable of resonating with the same intensity as that which he perceives and experiences.

In a fast-paced world saturated with images, his work presents itself as a space of silence and reconnection. The honesty of the process and personal experience thus become a language capable of evoking unexpected resonances in the viewer.
